Would you prefer to register for Rec offerings online?

Be among the first to try our new online registration through "survey monkey."

    Simply visit this link:

    Click this link to register

and answer the same questions you're used to seeing on the paper form. We'll have you "electronically" sign this document and then you can sign a paper copy in person when you arrive for the program (first practice, etc).

Please mail your payment to the Westford Rec Dept at the Town Office or bring it with you when you arrive for the program (example, first practice). We're looking into options to be able to pay online too, so keep looking for that option.

Fridays at the Westford School, 3:00 - 4:30pm

    January 8th through March 12th

Kids in grades 3 through 8 use the school's equipment or bring your own.

Kids in grades K through 2 must bring your own equipment (the school doesn't have equipment for this age group) and be accompanied by an adult.

Kids will be grouped by ability and age by the instructors. All groups will learn and practice new skills through games, instruction and touring. Kids who become proficient in classic ski technique will learn to skate ski. Last year all the kids tried skate skiing!

Ski club will only be cancelled if the weather is too bad to go outside (too cold or raining hard). If there is not enough snow for skiing, we will hike, orienteer, or play games outside. Our goal is to get kids outside in the winter.

We meet in the school gym after school and use the school common area as our indoor base. Parents must pick up their children in the common area by 4:30pm.

Willing to volunteer? We need a check-in person for ski club. You need to arrive at the common area at 4:15pm and check-in kids as they come back from skiing. Please e-mail Rosemary Shea at shearv@aol.com or call her at 878-4690 if you can help.

    FYI Skiing

Ski Vermont wants to give fifth graders a winter of free skiing and snowboarding! With the Vermont Fifth Grade Passport, 5th graders can ski or ride three times each at participating downhill and cross-country ski areas.
